Ri-Ri, Smiler, The Don, Smy-smy, number 2 of "the boys"

I guess this page is more for me than anyone else. People can call me soft or weird for loving this cat as much as I did, and for missing him as much as I do now that he has passed away, but Riley was such a special animal. It hurts me so much to think that he was only 5 years old when he was taken away so unexpectedly. We had such a great friendship. I wish we had more time together my friend. I miss you terribly.

Jules and I sat down one evening and made this list of Riley memories...

he was so very soft (super soft!) one ear was thicker than the other LOVED cat nip - open the drawer it was in, he would go nuts faintly smelled like perfume "pawed" you when he wanted to be petted loved to climb up on my lap climbed on my chest when I was in bed the original "bone-aire" he "talked" to us when he got his nails cut he was 18 pounds! liked to scrape up the rug he was such a very clean cat cleaned Blintzy when he needed it he loved the laser pointer - he could hear it from upstairs if you just picked it up! had a caramel color patch on his nose had a cool looking striped tail laid on his back with his legs spread when he was content leaned into you when you scratched his ears didn't really like his body petted LOVED is head scratched had cute little pink pads on his feet always laid on the Sunday paper when we tried to read it "the glowing Riley" (at the window waiting for his dinner - the Christmas candle was in the window) always made a "pee lake" on the stairs of the Booda when it was time to clean it when I first met him, he would paw at my feet while I was sleeping waited for us on the top stair of the basement when we went down there loved climbing into the "comforter tunnels" made a quick moan when you went up to pet him he loved his sky scraper…he used it all the time when he felt sick, his ears would get warm he would always try to steal Blintzy's food he and Blintz would wrestle and they would get on their hind legs Jules loved his pink little nose you could always tell when he jumped off the sky scraper because you would hear a big "thud" would love to lay upstairs near the banister so when you would walk downstairs he would "paw" at you
